INFINITY X45

In carp rods the Infinity name is both trusted and iconic. Made in Daiwa’s own UK manufacturing facility, the latest X45 technology and HVF combined with the epic Magnum Taper profile produces a super accurate, fast action blank with an untouchable fish playing performance.

The very latest TDG guides make the rod feel ultralight and extremely responsive, with each also featuring an ALPS reel seat, with the double screw fitting.

Within the range there are six models: two 12ft 3.25 and 3.75lb, two 13ft 3.25 and 3.75lb test curves plus dedicated 12ft Spod and 12ft Marker editions to compliment the range.

All have been the in the hands of consultants over the last 6 months, testing and fine tuning the range on a variety of different venues and situations.

What does the Daiwa exclusive technology help you to achieve in a carp rod?

  • HVF (High Volume Fibre). This material has been developed to reduce the weight from resin and increase the volume of carbon, adding strength, stiffness and recovery to the blank.

  • X45 is an exclusive Daiwa technology. The bias material construction vastly reduces twist of the blank during casting. The higher torque resistance increases casting energy conversion, maintains blank shape and increases casting accuracy

  • V-Joint Alpha. This feature eliminates potential flat spots that occur at the joint. It gives you a fluent playing action and optimises delivery of casting energy.

  • Magnum Taper. Designed by our engineers in the UK and Japan this now iconic mandrel profile gives you the perfect balance of a responsive tip action rod for playing fish and the perfect middle and lower part of the rod for casting. Only Daiwa rods can give you this.

Why we have chosen these components?

ALPS ARD reel seat

This reel seat is made with a patented Ripple drop grip which gives you enhanced casting and catching power. It is made from ultra-high grade, corrosion resistant 61XX aluminium with both hoods having cushion inserts. The seat also has double knurled hex nuts to secure the reel in position.

Seaguide TDG guides

These guides are lighter in weight than the traditional ceramic guides with an enhanced performance. The guides have a larger internal diameter, size for size with ceramic guides which means line can travel faster through them when casting. The guides also offer greater sensitivity and feel and have a special adaman coating to also increasing the performance.

Japanese shrink

We only use the best hard waring shrink on all the UK made rods. We believe this gives the best finish and feel on a carp rod handle.
